Promotional Poster
The Plotline
Overview
Challenge
The goal was to create a promotional poster for The Plotline, a journal brand inspired by retro aesthetics, to communicate how their product helps users navigate life’s challenges. The design needed to visually represent The Plotline as a tool for pulling someone out of the "abyss" of mistakes and imperfections, reinforcing the idea that every misstep can be a catalyst for growth.
Transformation
The design revolves around the phrase “We all make mstaikes,” with a deliberate typo symbolizing life’s imperfections. The centerpiece is a character being lifted out of an abstract abyss by The Plotline journal, depicted as their lifeline. Bold typography, retro-inspired textures, and a warm color palette combine to create a sense of hope and empowerment. The subtle use of motion in the figure adds dynamism, making the journal the hero of the story.
Story
The final poster portrays The Plotline as more than just a journal—it’s a lifeline that helps users turn their mistakes into meaningful moments. The visual metaphor of escaping the abyss reflects the brand’s message: life’s challenges are opportunities to create a richer story. With its striking design and compelling narrative, the poster invites viewers to embrace imperfection and take charge of their journey.
